Syrian short film “Leila Dakhily” crafted by Hussam Qusai Sharabati, clinched two awards at the finale of the “Cinema for Everyone” themed International Short Film Festival in Tyre,Lebanon.
Produced by the Public Authority for Cinema, the film snagged the Best Cinematography accolade for Mohamed and Jamal Matar and the Best Actress title for Ola Basha. Delving into women’s issues in our societies, it brings to the forefront the dynamics of a couple within a human and social context.

The festival’s 11th edition lasted from 24 to 26 February,and featured 29 films coming from 27 countries. It also involved multiple workshops and interactive seminars with directors as well as screenings of student films.
