The event was announced by the Regional Delegation for Cultural Affairs in Ariana. Starting on March 2, 2024, and recurring monthly, the event will provide an opportunity to showcase a selection of films in 10 cultural and youth spaces in the Ariana region, in collaboration with the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Ministry of Cultural Affairs, the National Cinema and Image Center, and the ACTIF Association.
The film “My Son,” directed by Mohamed Ben Attia and produced by Dora Bouchoucha, has been chosen as the opening screening for the event. This selection serves as a tribute to Tunisian cinema and was previously featured in the “Directors’ Fortnight” at the Cannes Film Festival six years ago. It also opened the previous event, “Spotlight on Tunisian Cinema,” organized by the same institution.
This event aims to promote a culture of proximity, targeting the youth in particular. It emphasizes the right of all individuals to access culture and cinema.
